SOUND OFF
Hi Chris,
I just got a call from Ms. Robert Taylor and she was thrilled and so relieved when she got the call from Terry this morning about the car! I can't thank you and your organization enough for your help in this matter.
Thank you and all the supporters of Cars 4 Heroes for helping Lori out. She was truly in a pickle and the relief you have provided by eliminating her worries about transportation is a huge burden lifted from her.
Please forward this message to your committee and organization, and extend my thanks to Slacker and 101 The FOX for providing air time and promoting the Cars 4 Heroes program. You have NO idea how many Veterans (and families) you have "saved" from disaster by providing transportation.
Smithville American Legion Post 58 will be making a direct contribution to Cars 4 Heroes.
Thanks you again for making this happen!
Best Regards,
Dewayne Knott, Commander

I want to express my gratitude for your generosity. You gave my daughter a minivan last November. She was going through a divorce and living with me at the time. The gift of the vehicle has enabled her to get a place of her own and has got a promotion at work. Without your help, none of this would have been possible. Thank you again.

I am the Team Leader for the 7 East oncology unit at The Cancer Institute located within Research Medical Center. I have a 19 year old girl that (sic) was diagnosed with Acute Mylegenous Leukemia this fall… She was going to college when she was diagnosed with cancer. Her parents have come from Samoa to see her through transplant. Her family has limited funds. We have arranged for lodging at the hope lodge…I listed her address at the hospital, because this is it until she has recovered from her chemo. Her parents are staying here also….her transplant program…requires her to have transportation, which she does not have. The hope lodge cannot guarantee any transportation. Our unit has adopted them for Christmas…Unfortunately we cannot give them the one thing they really need, a car…this particular situation has touched us all in a way that is indescribable. They have no family here to help them with this emotional and financial stress. This patient is in a battle to survive. Having adequate transportation to get her to her appointments and treatments would be extremely helpful. Please help if you can.
Sincerely, Team Leader 7 East
