How would a vehicle change the Recipient's life? Why does the Recipient need a vehicle?
Let me tell you about this family. The dad, Chris, and the mom, Brandy, have been blessed with 5 beautiful kids. They have a 12 year old daughter, twin 8 yr. old boys, and twin 6 yr. old girls.
When Brandy was 6 months pregnant with her youngest set twins, their son Caleb was diagnosed with t cell acute leukemia. He underwent 3 and a half years of chemotherapy and currently battles many last side effects and some learning delays from the years of chemo. This fall/winter, Chris's pay has decreased quite a bit and Brandy has gotten 2 part time jobs to help support the family’s needs and try to save for Christmas.
However, their family van is o it's very last leg. It is overheating constantly, fills with water in the door panel when it rains, bad brakes/rotors, needs tires, and many other issues. The family can just not pay for the repairs, and the amount of repair is more than the car is worth. Just this week, the car started billowing smoke as Brandy was in the school drop off line trying to drop her kids off at school.
The Johnsons are a wonderful family and have been a part of the camp quality family for almost 5 years. They are a kind, generous, and loving family. They are always looking for ways to help and pay it forward. The kids attend camp and are basically family. A new car for the family would be such blessing. They would have peace of mind that their family can get to school drop off/pick up, to work, to doctor appointments, and activities safely and securely. They wouldn't need to worry about the financial stress of not having Christmas for their family or trying to pay for repairs on a car that isn't worth fixing. I know they would be more than grateful and would most definitely try to pass the blessings on when they are able.
Vehicle needs to accommodate: 5 or more.
Number of children and their ages 5 kids ages 12, 8, 8, 6, 6
Number of children requiring a car seat or booster: Age and weight 2 kids ages 6 in boosters 40-45 lbs

How would a vehicle change the Recipient's life? Why does the Recipient need a vehicle?
Hi, my name is Spencer Allen and I hate having to ask for help but I just don't know what to do. Throughout the years with going through a divorce, not being able to see my children, and having to walk to work it just has not been easy. I am currently remarried and I have a child with my current wife as well. I have also been unable to travel el to see them as my old car was in a hit and run accident, resulting in both of us having to walk to work every day.
We had to car towed and the cost of fixing the car was something that my insurance company wouldn't do, instead I got a check for $300 which was barely enough to cover the cost of the tow. We have been saving up money for the past year and bought a car and only 2 days after we bought the car from craigslist the car died and the cost of repair was in the thousands and since we spent all of our saved money onto it we couldn't fix the car to where it would be safe and reliable, and the seller wouldn't do anything to help. My biggest concern with buying a car is if it is safe for my family to travel in without breaking down on the road.
We live in Missouri and in the summer it’s not too bad to walk to Walmart to get groceries but in the winter it’s not very easy. We do sometimes get a taxi or a friend having to take us to the store just to get our essential needs, but I hate having to inconvenience someone just to go to the store. This vehicle would enable for me to be able to see my kids more often and it would help getting to and from work daily. I appreciate your time and I hope that you have a great day.

Recipient's Address: Olathe, KS 66062
How would a vehicle change the Recipient's life? Why does the Recipient need a vehicle?
My mother, my brother they would both probably start bawling if a new handicapped van was provided to them! My mother is a hard worker has hasn't had the easiest life. One of my four brothers was diagnosed at the age of four with Muscular Dystrophy Duchenne’s which is one of the worst cases of MDA.
For years we didn't have a handicapped van for my brother. We would have to physically pick him up out of his wheelchair and put him in the van then pick his wheelchair up and load it into the van. Several years later as his disease progressed by the hands of god we stumbled upon a handicapped van that we could afford. It wasn't the nicest van, it surely wasn't the quietest but it got him to and from school and other activities that he enjoys doing. My brother is now 17 and about to turn 18 in just a few short days.
The van my mother has that we are so grateful for is slowly falling apart. The power to the ramp has stopped working, to where we had to loosen a few bolts just for us to manually pull it out. Sometimes that doesn't work, it will get stuck. With winter approaching it will become even more difficult to get him in and out of the vehicle. This van is his only transportation, if it stops running he will be stuck at home with no way of getting to and from anywhere. Anything would help, our family would appreciate any help that you would offer.
Thank you so much for your consideration and for helping families in need! Brooklyn Storch

How would a vehicle change the Recipient's life? Why does the Recipient need a vehicle?
I am a single mother who is struggling with getting to and from work, I have been asking a church member but she only could help me a few times. I use public transportation. But being that my job is far from where I reside it take me 2 hours to get to and from work therefore I have to leave my home at 5:45am to be able to make it to work by 9am.
I really don't get to spend much time with my children due to not enough hours in a day. As soon as I get home I have to rush to cook a meal get my 5 year old ready for school the next day. I typically spend an hour and a half to speak to my children before I have to go to sleep and get ready for the next day.
It's so hard for me to get to my appointments, grocery shopping etc. without a vehicle. I have no family to depend on and my children father is not in their life. My age is really taking a toll on me and I just want to be able to spend more time with my children and do things on the weekend. We spend weekends at home all the time and it would be nice to take them somewhere and keep my employment that I just started September to keep us from becoming homeless.
