We moved back to Missouri in 2016, my husband and I are both 100% permanent and total disabled Veterans.

We were excited to move we had found our dream home but with the pay cut it became a struggle to pay bills. Our vehicle was repossessed, we have four children.
Vehicle needs to accommodate: 5 or more.

How would a vehicle change the Recipient's life? Why does the Recipient need a vehicle?
Since the day I first met Aaron I was amazed by how he always put the needs of all of those around him, before his own needs. He is one of the most patient, loving, and kind people I have ever known. I just want to see something great happen for him!
I have watched him struggle without a car for years now, using his bike to get him where he needs to go. He has a passion for cycling but at times it just isn't convenient to ride everywhere, especially in Las Vegas heat which can get as hot as 117 degrees. Since he separated from his wife he has been able to see his children very little because he does not own a vehicle. He has recently taken on a second job to be able to pay child support and that second job is for less pay and over a two hour bike ride! He is enduring so much so that he can take care of his family and better his life. His hope is that this second job will lead to a greater opportunity for him to earn a better salary. But he is incredibly challenged in being able to make it happen. Leaving home at 5am and returning at 11pm each night, physically and emotionally exhausted.
If Aaron received a car he would first and foremost be able to care for his children in a more meaningful way. It would allow him to continue working the second job. This will allow him to apply for a promotion in 70 days. And in turn will give him the chance to see and provide more for his children. Not to mention help him physically. He is riding over 100 miles a day! And he never complains! He does what he needs to do.
I'm a cancer survivor and have seen a lot of dark times...but I have never seen someone persevere like I have Aaron. He can do all things difficult with a smile on his face. And he inspires me every single day. He is so deserving of this gift and I KNOW he would pay it forward in any way possible! Thank you so much for all you do for veterans and thank you for your time and consideration! :)
